I hope you are doing the best you can in this unexpected and sometimes unsettling time.
Do you have printed photos? Did you write the who, when and where on the back of the photo or in the photo album? It is so important to do this for future generations. I recently inherited 2 large photo albums of my ex-mother-in-law. Very few of the photos have information written on the back of the photo. Unfortunately, all of my ex-husbands family (including him) passed away so I can't ask them about the photos
. I've been sorting through these photos for scanning and digitizing for our children. I want them to know their dad, his family and about his childhood. I am so grateful to have these photos so I can preserve them. My end goal is to create a legacy book for our children. I would love to know the "who, when and where", but at least I can give them the who.
If you have never written on the back of your photos please consider doing it now. Start with the most present photo and work backward. It's okay if you cannot remember the exact date or place. Any bit of information is better than nothing.
There are special pencils and pens that won't bleed through or leave marks on the front of your photo. You can order them from Amazon, Archival Methods or craft stores. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
If you find yourself running out of projects, now is a great time to start organizing your photos and perhaps scanning them.
